Supervisor, Warehouse (Dental Furniture)

Overview

Responsible for the effective execution of warehouse operations supporting manufacturing across one or more locations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and material distribution. Leads a cross-functional team and coordinates material flow to ensure alignment with safety, quality, and delivery objectives. Drives operational performance through leadership, workforce management, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and material movement, to meet production and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate material flow and distribution across warehouse locations and production areas to ensure continuity of supply.
• Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including system transactions, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution.
• Monitor and drive performance through KPIs (such as; safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and attendance); communicate results and take corrective action.
• Identify and resolve operational issues related to inventory, workflow, staffing, and material flow; escalate systemic issues as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members; support performance management, training, onboarding, and employee engagement.
• Manage workforce administration, including timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling to meet operational demands.
• Partner cross-functionally and with HR to address employee relations, staffing needs, and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, including safe operation of material handling equipment (PIT).
• Drive continuous improvement using lean principles; support cost control, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control, material flow, and distribution processes.
• Working knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Working knowledge of safety standards and material handling practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and drive corrective actions.
• Proficiency in standard computer and operational systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across shifts and operations.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, or related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-location or complex warehouse operations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification.
