Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Test Engineer / Senior Principal Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT supporting the Sentinel Program.

Basic Qualifications:

• T03 Principal Test Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 2 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• T04 Senior Principal Test Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

For both roles:

• 2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations (functional decomposition).
• 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDraw.
• 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: flight test, ground test, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21 delivery systems).
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and execution of a large complex program.
• Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).
• Experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management.
• Experience working within a multi-team environment.
• Experience with tableau and data analytics.
• Experience with earned value management knowledge in a program management capacity.
• Experience with creating and monitoring test metrics.
• Experience with a Test environment.
• Experience with maintaining hardware configuration for test execution.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira)
• Experience facilitating Program Reviews
• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
• Experience leading hardware procurement/supply chain operations
• Possesses strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in system development
• Experience with high level customer engagement
• Experience with Agile Project Management

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $139,600.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
