Job overview
On the platform, literally under the plane; that is one of the most special workplaces you can think of, isn't it?! As a pushback driver, also known as an "aircraft tug", you are the person who brings planes from the gate to the runway and vice versa.
Your activities
Without hesitation, you connect the push-back truck to the aircraft and tow the aircraft where it needs to be. It seems like an easy job, but you have to deal with all kinds of rules, procedures and safety always comes first! You are also involved in the following tasks:
- You are responsible for the safe towing of aircraft; Preparing work at the gate (preparing equipment and parts such as dollies, containers, stairs, GPUs and lifting platforms);
- Efficiently placing goods and luggage in luggage compartments or transport vehicles, ensuring a stable load and preventing damage;
- Operating tools and equipment for loading and unloading freight on pallets and containers and (heavy) freight with special dimensions;
- Loading and unloading baggage, freight and mail.
Your profile
- You have previously worked as a tug for another handler
- You have no experience but have completed the training for pushback or tug.
- You are stress-resistant and customer-oriented;
- You have the ability to improvise, a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm;
- You are constantly attentive and accurate when carrying out work/actions You find safety very important;
- You are constantly busy complying with traffic, company and airport regulations;
- You can express yourself in Dutch and English (language level A2).
What we offer
- A start salary from € 2835,98 for 38 hours per week;
- Irregularity allowance;
- 25 vacation days per year;
- 8% vacation pay in May;
