Description
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Haas, Fadal, or similar)
- Load tools, set offsets, and prove out programs
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges
- Run first article parts and support inspection
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed
- Deburr and finish parts to meet quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow shop travelers, setup sheets, and quality procedures
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of CNC machining milling and setup experience
- Setup experience (tooling, offsets, workholding)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
- Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, mics, indicators)
- Experience with Haas and Fadal controls or similar is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Preferred (Not Required)
- Exposure to 5-axis machining
- Experience with tight tolerances (.001” or better)
- Familiarity with Mastercam or other CAM software
- Understanding of aerospace or AS9100 environments
- Swiss machine experience
