Job Summary
The Travel Sales Associate is responsible for assisting clients in planning, booking, and purchasing travel services, including flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, understanding client needs, and maximizing sales opportunities while ensuring a seamless travel experience.
Key Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand travel preferences, budgets, and requirements
Recommend and sell travel packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and travel insurance
Prepare and process reservations, itineraries, and travel documentation
Research destinations, travel regulations, and promotional offers
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Resolve customer inquiries, changes, and issues before and during travel
Stay up to date on travel trends, products, and industry changes
Accurately maintain customer records and sales documentation
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous sales or customer service experience (travel industry experience is a plus)
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with booking systems and basic office software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Passion for travel and knowledge of popular destinations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment
