Role: Head HR UK & Ireland
Location: London – 4 days/week onsite
Reporting to the Head of HR EMEAC, you will act as a strategic, hands-on HR leader and trusted coach, providing HR partnership across all key HR areas. You will be accountable for delivering excellence across the full employee lifecycle, including organisational development, workforce planning, and driving culture and transformation.
As Head of HR, you will lead the implementation of the global HR strategy, providing leadership and guidance across all aspects of people management. Working closely with the Global HR Centres of Excellence, the wider HR community, and the functional leadership team, you will ensure the business strategy is aligned and effectively embedded across the UK & Ireland.
In addition to your responsibilities across the UK & Ireland, you will also have HR oversight and responsibility for the London Global Capability Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders across the UK & Ireland to deliver the HR strategy and align people initiatives with business objectives.
- Partner with HR Shared Services and Global Centres of Excellence to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services and embed global policies and processes locally.
- Coach and develop leaders, strengthening capability across performance management, talent, employee engagement and organisational change.
- Drive the local implementation of global HR initiatives, including culture, talent management, performance, development and total rewards.
- Lead and support organisational change, partnering with leaders to deliver business transformation.
- Ensure compliance with UK & Ireland employment legislation, HR governance, reporting requirements and company policies.
- Build strong relationships across the global HR community to deliver best-practice HR solutions and continuously improve processes and ways of working.
- Promote clear HR policies and standards that support effective management decisions and business success.
Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a Senior HR business partner role in an international and matrix environment ideally acquired in the healthcare or consumer goods industry
- Track record of dealing effectively in a multicultural environment typically gained through regional roles and/or location in foreign countries
- Track record of management of ER matters (in a win / win approach)
- Very strong analytical skills, eye for details and ability to translate data into meaningful insights to shape recommendations and decisions
- Highly proficient in project planning, be highly organized, have an ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate composure and resiliency in times of uncertainty and under stress.
- Ability to fluctuate between strategic HR partnership and being operationally hands-on.
- Bring process mindset to discussions in terms of level of detail and solution focus
- A passion and/or prior experiences in the fields of talent management is required
- Excellent knowledge of Social Security and Labor Law
- Fluent in English. Any other European languages a strong plus.
- University degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Business Administration or similar
