Description
The objective of this role is to support ViiV’s operating model and financial obligations by performing statutory accounting and related financial reporting activities for ViiV as well as ensuring financial integrity of the ViiV business, both from a group and a legal entity statutory perspective. The role will be embedded in the wider ViiV Finance function, with opportunities to interact and collaborate and take active part in continuous improvement and digital projects as well as team-wide activities.
Successful candidate will report to ViiV Senior Statutory & IP Finance Manager, and will have the opportunity to work and develop financial reporting/business partnering skills with stakeholders varying in seniority not just in Finance but in other areas of the business and support functions: C&C, R&D, Legal, Supply Chain, GSK Global Treasury and Trading Partner Finance and Operations and Tax/Transfer Pricing teams.
Key responsibilities:
Provide advanced accounting and financial reporting services to the ViiV and GSK management, especially the ViiV statutory sub-group consolidated actual results and internal reporting on a monthly basis. Prepare and review journals and financial analyses.
Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting to the shareholders of ViiV (GSK, Shionogi).
Provide operational support to ViiV financial management, statutory reporting and planning. Support ViiV planning and forecasting exercises.
Support accounting of intangible assets and related items (eg impairment tests, asset valuations). Oversee ViiV legal entity valuations, as required (entities, investments, goodwill).
Analyse and monitor evolution of differences between IFRS management reporting and statutory consolidated reporting (COGS, SG&A, R&D, EGOL) - bringing cross dimensional insights on business performance.
Perform business monitoring of ViiV UK legal entities (legal entity profit checks) and assist review of the UK legal entity Statutory Accounts.
Ensure full compliance with IFRS and SOX requirements. Active involvement in group and legal entity statutory audit matters.
Prepare dividend calculation to the external shareholders. Oversee dividend distributions within the group.
Provide regular and ad-hoc support to other groups (eg. R&D Finance, Global Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain) with ViiV/operating model specific knowledge. Provide decision support, project management, simplification, and governance – playing role of knowledge and excellence centre of ViiV’s accounting.
Support implementation of legal entity structure optimalisation – liquidation. Take active part in continuous improvement and digital projects.

Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Previous experience in audit and/or management and statutory reporting would be an advantage.
Experience with SAP, PowerBI, Lumira, Bison.
Experience with Power Query preferred.

General knowledge of consolidation framework.
General knowledge of Tax and Transfer Pricing framework.
General knowledge of Treasury framework.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
Strong Excel skills.
Working arrangement
This role is hybrid with a regular presence in our Poland office. You will work on-site to collaborate with local teams and join virtual meetings with regional and global partners as needed.
