JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Transportation Services is hiring Customer Service Representatives to work Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm in the gated campus parking decks. Duties will include:
- Screening permit holders for entry into the parking decks when near capacity
- Assisting customers with entry and exit of the parking decks
- Controlling the inventory of spaces in the parking decks
- Helping customers find alternative parking facilities when they are full
- Resolving equipment issues
- Answering general questions about parking on campus
The position will mostly work independently, and will work in teams and alongside full-time staff for busier times. The work will mostly be outdoors or in the kiosks at the deck. Transportation Services is seeking candidates with strong customer service skills, with prior customer service preferred. The job requires the ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, while outdoors.
The starting rate for this job is $14 per hour.
