CDL Delivery Driver – Van Driver/CDL Backup - Addison Commercial Center

We are currently looking for a dependable, safety-focused CDL Delivery Driver to join our team at our Addison Commercial Center. This position will primarily make deliveries using a cargo van but will serve as a backup CDL truck driver when needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both types of vehicles and enjoys providing excellent service to customers and store teams.

Schedule

• Must be available to start at 4:30 a.m. 
• Schedule may vary based on delivery and business needs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Primarily operate a delivery van to transport products to JC Licht stores and customer locations. 
• Operate a CDL box truck when needed as a backup driver. 
• Verify loads against shipping and delivery documentation. 
• Safely load, unload, and handle products while minimizing damage. 
• Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule. 
• Collect customer payments and delivery charges when required. 
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and store teams. 
• Communicate with supervisors regarding routes, deliveries, delays, or customer concerns. 
• Complete required vehicle inspections, logs, and delivery documentation. 
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids. 
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent JC Licht positively. 
• Follow all company policies and applicable state and federal safety regulations. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

• $21–$27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. 

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL or higher. 
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record within established company guidelines. 
• Current DOT medical certification, if required. 
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience. 
• Ability and willingness to operate both cargo vans and CDL box trucks. 
• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred. 
• Ability to repeatedly lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 75 pounds. 
• Ability to safely operate delivery equipment, including hand trucks and carts. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Good customer-service and problem-solving skills. 
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. 
• Hazmat endorsement is a plus.
