Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and directing local market strategy, fiscal strategy, and supporting the local President within major markets. Key responsibilities include serving as coordinator/convener of the local market leadership team, driving market growth & collaboration, and overseeing employee engagement and community impact. Job expectations include acting as a proxy for the local President in representing the bank both internally and externally in the assigned market.
The Greater Washington DC Market Executive leads and directs the local market strategy, fiscal strategy, and supports the President of the Greater Washington DC market. Responsible for partnering with the local market team to drive market growth & collaboration, employee engagement and community impact. Acts as proxy for the President of the Greater Washington DC market in representing the company in the local community and internal functions and events. Partners with the President of the Greater Washington DC market in the leadership and execution of the three priorities:
Deliver for Our Clients
Own the development and execution of an integrated strategic plan across all market priorities in partnership with the Market President, Market Integration Executive, Consumer Lead, Enterprise Relationship Specialist and other line of business local market leaders
• Lead engagement initiatives and ensure sponsorship assets are aligned with business growth objectives in the strategic plan
• Drive Market Growth & Collaboration performance in close partnership with the Market President, Market Integration Executive, Consumer Lead, and Enterprise
Relationship Specialist
• Plan streamlined routines, setting the tone/expectations for leadership team meetings and Market Growth & Collaboration/Market Share Growth council meetings
• Ensure consistent routines are in place to inspect partnership engagements across all LOBs and receive updates on progress against strategic plan priorities
• Manage local market fiscal investments in accordance with strategic plan; accurately forecast local spend, process budgets in a timely manner, and proactively
escalate potential variance to senior management
• Strategically lead and execute coordination of Market Sponsor (MS) or MTM visits (as appropriate)
Deliver for Our Communities
• Drive community development and economic mobility outcomes through target partnerships aligned to local market growth priorities
• Strategically manage community investment opportunities by balancing tradeoffs and making difficult decisions
• Deliver the full breath of our company’s capabilities to help our non-profit partners achieve their financial goals
• Promote enterprise messaging priorities via collaboration with Marketing, Media Relations, Government Relations, and LOB teams in engaging key stakeholders,
tracking activities and sharing stories
• Participate in community initiatives to advance priorities across LMO, our lines of business or the Enterprise
Deliver for Our Employees
• Build local market culture: Promote and activate employee engagement, career development, volunteerism and recognition
• Provide support in times of crisis: Partner with the MP, Market HR (MHR), Communications, Global Response and Life Event Services to support impacted employees
• Serve as a visible and active leader representing the organization
Responsibilities:
- Partners with the local President to provide strategic and cohesive guidance across all Lines of Business to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Drives market growth & collaboration, leads the bank's community strategy, and oversees and promotes engagement from employees representing the bank
- Provides strategy and direction on how the bank delivers local and enterprise assets to serve customers and clients across the market
- Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to help deliver the bank's message externally
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
- Deep knowledge of the bank’s local market delivery strategy and the role of the Local Market Organization in the enterprise narrative
- Experience leading through change and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to identify opportunities for business growth, develop strategic initiatives and drive to achieve desired results
- Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, strong prioritization and time management skills, self-directed, results-oriented
- Must live in or near Washington, DC
