Description
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will sit at the intersection of technology, business, and user experience, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more of the client's digital products and platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, UX designers, and external vendors to define product vision, priorities the product roadmap, and ensure that solutions are delivered with quality and purpose. You are someone who is equally comfortable discussing technical architecture with developers and presenting product strategy to senior leadership. Beyond your technical acumen, you bring a collaborative spirit, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to inspire and align teams around a shared goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned digital products, ensuring alignment with the client's organizational goals and IT strategy.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to translate user needs and business requirements into well-defined product features, epics, and user stories.
- Priorities the product backlog effectively, making clear and well-reasoned trade-off decisions that balance user value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team, bridging communication gaps and ensuring shared understanding of product goals and delivery timelines.
- Apply a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to guide product development from ideation through to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Leverage technical knowledge, including familiarity with web application development, APIs, databases, and system integration, to engage meaningfully with engineering teams and make informed product decisions.
- Define and track key product metrics and success indicators, using data to drive product iterations and improvements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners, ensuring contractual deliverables are met and that third-party solutions integrate seamlessly with the client's existing systems.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from stakeholders and end users to validate product outcomes and inform future development.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to experiment, learn, and iterate in pursuit of better product outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior product and business analyst team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technology trends, product management best practices, and developments in the public sector digital space, applying relevant insights to the client's product strategy.
Experience Required:
- Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience in product management, systems analysis, or IT project delivery, with a demonstrable track record of owning and shipping digital products in a complex organizational environment.
- Experience working in or with engineering teams is essential, and candidates should be comfortable engaging with technical concepts such as APIs, system architecture, databases, and agile development practices.
- Candidates with working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including experience with cloud-based infrastructure, Azure services, or cloud-native application development, will be given added consideration.
- Holding a recognized Azure certification will be viewed as a distinct bonus.
- Prior experience in the public sector or with government digital services will be advantageous.

Qualifications:
