We are seeking a highly capable Electrician or Industrial Electrician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our maintenance team on Night Shift. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoys troubleshooting and improving high-speed automated equipment.
This role would suit someone with:
An experienced Industrial Electrician with PLC and automation skills who is mechanically capable
A qualified Electrician with industrial and automation experience
Background working in FMCG environments, ideally with high-speed packaging or processing equipment
Key Skills & Experience
Electrical & Automation
Unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence)
Strong electrical fault-finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors, and field devices
Experience programming and configuring:
VFDs / drives
Scanners
Electronic control modules
Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation)
Mechanical & Maintenance
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical faults
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits
Hands-on mechanical skills, including:
Lubrication programs
Belt tracking
Replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes
Experience maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
Continuous Improvement & Reliability
Proactively work to reduce downtime, waste, and improve equipment reliability
Identify improvement opportunities through:
Fault investigation
Root cause analysis
Support and participate in maintenance and improvement projects
Demonstrated problem-solving experience within an industrial maintenance environment
Personal Attributes

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive approach to maintenance challenges
Continuous Improvement mindset
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
Experience using computerised maintenance management systems
Sound Microsoft Office skills
