Description

Why Wellthy is for you!

At Wellthy, we dream of a world where everyone has the care infrastructure they need to manage their own health and the health and well-being of their loved ones.

We’re building something new in the care space - reimagining how care is delivered, accessed, and supported by families around the globe. As we grow, we’re seeking collaborative, curious, and purpose-driven teammates to help us expand what’s possible.

Our work is grounded in the expertise of seasoned care professionals who deeply understand families’ real challenges paired with agile, tech-powered solutions that deliver support efficiently and at scale. We embrace a mindset of continuous learning, especially around emerging technologies. Tools like AI and other innovations are accelerators, enabling us to scale our impact, work smarter, and stay at the forefront of care delivery.

Through Wellthy, millions of families have access to support to help them manage care during every stage of life, with hands-on experts guiding families through caregiving or backup care journeys. And with the acquisition of Patch Caregiving, Wellthy continues to expand how care shows up for working families by pairing care navigation and coordination with on-site and near-site employer-based childcare. This combination allows us to support families not just in navigating care decisions, but in accessing real, hands-on help when and where they need it most. Together, we’re building a more connected, comprehensive care experience for families and caregivers alike.

We partner with leading companies including more than 40 Fortune 500 companies to support the care needs of their workforces globally. We also work alongside health plans and carriers to embed care support into their offerings, enhancing the experience and outcomes for members.

We’re building, evolving, and expanding the market category for care, and we’re looking for responsive, collaborative, curious, and purposeful colleagues to join us.

As our Provider Network Specialist, you will own the supply side of Wellthy's backup care network. When a family needs care on short notice, whether that's a spot at a daycare, camp, or an enrichment activity, it works because someone built the network behind it. That's you. You find quality providers in the markets where our clients need coverage, bring them on board, and keep those relationships strong so families always have somewhere to turn.

This role sits at the intersection of relationship-building and operations. You'll spend your time sourcing and vetting providers, negotiating terms, getting partners live and bookable, and watching coverage across your markets to stay ahead of demand.

Our work is grounded in the expertise of seasoned care professionals who deeply understand families' real challenges, paired with agile, tech-powered solutions that deliver support efficiently and at scale. We embrace a mindset of continuous learning, especially around emerging technologies.

You will report directly to the VP of Operations, Backup Care.

To be successful in this role:

  • Source and prioritize providers (in-home care, centers, camps, and activities) in the markets where client families need coverage, using licensing data, reviews, and market knowledge to decide where to focus.
  • Run outreach to prospective providers: walk them through how Wellthy's backup care benefit works, make the case for joining, and carry them from first conversation to live in the network.
  • Vet providers against Wellthy's quality bar before they come onboard, drawing on licensing, reviews, and direct evaluation.
  • Negotiate rates and partnership terms that hold up across single sites as well as multi-location and franchise groups, structuring agreements that work for the provider and for Wellthy.
  • Get providers fully set up to take bookings: collect and verify onboarding documentation, coordinate payment and billing details, and clear anything blocking them from going live.
  • Serve as the ongoing point of contact for your providers, keeping them active, responsive, and confident referring families to us.
  • Track your markets, monitor coverage and fill rate, and flag gaps where we need more supply to meet demand.
  • Work alongside operations, billing, and legal to keep contracts, onboarding, and the daily running of the network moving.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be open to learning, experimenting, and evolving. Comfort with emerging technology and curiosity around how tools like AI can support your workflow or help families more effectively is a plus.

  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment, vendor management, partnerships, sales, or customer service, with a track record of hitting established targets.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; 3 years of relevant experience in place of an applicable degree).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain a program clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • General comfort pulling data, generating reports, and using basic productivity software (GSuite, Slack, spreadsheets).

Qualifications that are preferred but not mandatory:

  • Experience recruiting backup care or childcare provider partners.
  • Comfort presenting or general comfort with public speaking.
  • Experience working in a remote environment.
