RESPONSIBILITIES

• The primary duties for the medical scribe are to accompany the physician into the exam room in order to document each patient's interaction with the doctor.

• Scribes will use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in real-time to document dictation from the physician.

• Scribes are clerical in nature and are not patient care providers.  

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of one year in the healthcare field required. -

• Experience in a direct patient care environment highly preferred. -

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology required. -

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education is required. -

• Valid Florida driver's license required for travel between clinics.
