Overview

We’re looking for an Accountant to join our Treasury team and support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. You’ll play a key role in month-end processes, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting, working closely with other Finance teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, work collaboratively, and contribute to the success of a global organisation.

This role offers study support to complete your accountancy qualification.

How you'll make an impact

  • Prepare reconciliations for general ledger, bank balances, control accounts, FX analysis, intercompany, and loan balances.
  • Support month-end processes, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and contribute to quarterly board pack submissions.
  • Assist with quarterly regulatory and FCA reporting requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with other Finance teams to resolve outstanding transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries with proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Gallagher Offshore Team to meet Treasury Accounting needs.
  • Provide accurate management information and support audit processes.
  • Assist with acquisition, integration, and transition activities.
  • Identify and escalate issues, risks, or delays to the Team Leader or Manager.

About you

  • You’ve got a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • You’re working towards, or interested in pursuing, a formal accountancy qualification
  • You’re confident using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • You’ve got experience with finance systems, reconciliations, journals, and reporting processes (preferred).
  • You’re professional, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • You’re great at building relationships and working with stakeholders.
  • You’re solutions-focused, proactive, and results-driven.
  • You’re eligible to work in the UK.

Compensation and benefits

At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself. For more information, visit our Benefits page.

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits programs designed to support your well-being
  • Career development opportunities and ongoing learning
  • A collaborative, people-first culture with accessible leadership
  • The opportunity to do meaningful work with global reach and local impact

At Gallagher, we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace. If your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to join our Talent Community to stay connected to additional career opportunities. Although this role is listed as full-time, if you’re in a job-share partnership, work reduced hours, or have any other flexible arrangement, please still get in touch. We will also offer reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process if required, so please let us know.
