Job Description:
Senior Engineer Structure - O&M (Roads/Parks)
Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer Structurer to join our team! In this role you will ensure compliance of civil works to design requirements, specifications and project plan while making sure of implementing DRM's policies & regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Ensuring compliance of civil works to design requirements, specifications and project plan while making sure of implementing DRM's policies & regulations.
Identifying all non-conforming work or materials, notifying the contractor and keeping a proper record.
Following up corrective and preventive measure taken by the contractor.
·Inspecting the work performed by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practices.
Overseeing project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress.
Reviewing shop drawings and providing feedback to colleagues.
Performing field visits and writing reports detailing project viability and progress.
Ensure structure can withstand the stress and pressure imposed by use and the environment.
Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used for each project, whether it is a new-build, conversion or renovation.
Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among client, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders.
Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
Monitors and reports to the project management on the progress of all project design and construction activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
Participates in weekly progress meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 10 years practical O&M experience with no less than an 8 years’ experience in the infrastructure and roads works.
Experience of major Roads, underpasses, highways and parks projects of complex nature is essential.
Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
Arabic speaker preferrable.
