We're hiring a Dispatcher at Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Gardiner, MT . Experience the "secret season" of Yellowstone – an unforgettable winter adventure awaits!
Job Summary:
This diverse role combines guest service, team leadership, and operational support during Yellowstone's winter season. It requires strong communication skills, administrative competence, and the ability to perform various guide and driver duties. The position demands versatility, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in employee management and guest satisfaction.
The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: Mid November 2026 - Mid March 2027Pay: $2,340.00/Bi -weeklySchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Provides supervision of the daily administrative snowmobile operation.
- Assist the Dispatchers with daily duties including payroll, stats, scheduling, troubleshooting vehicle breakdowns, radio calls and coordinating vehicle transfers and rescues.
- Perform all duties of Snowmobile guide.
- Assist Dispatchers with administrative snowmobile user check-ins, suiting up, required paperwork and safety information.
- Assist with snowmobile, snowcoach, and wheeled vehicle rescues as needed.
- Complete all required paperwork (including accident packets) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Log all vehicle damage and work with mechanics/dispatchers to determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct NPS required administrative snowmobile training for Xanterra employees.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of snowmobile gear (helmets, bibs, boots, gloves, guide bags).
- Re-stock 1st Aid Kits as needed.
- Keep oil shed stocked and tidy.
- Accurately track daily fuel use at the Snowmobile hut as well as fueling snowmobiles for in-house and outside tour operators.
Qualifications
- Good verbal communication skills.
- At least 21 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Winter driving skills, good driving record.
- Knowledge of Park history and features.
- Knowledge of Park rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of Company and Departmental policies and procedures.
- Must possess current 1st Aid/CPR certifications.
Physical Requirements include:
- Able to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. simultaneously and repeatedly.
- Must meet all DOT physical requirements and be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
- Ability to operate a snowmobile, snowcoach and wheeled vehicle at an expert level with full use of both hands and feet.
- Able to walk up to a mile several times each day at elevations ranging from 5,300 feet to 10,500 feet above sea level.
- Withstand up to 10 hours of consecutive driving on rough and/or icy roads.
- Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from -60⁰ to +50⁰ Fahrenheit).
- Ability to sit for extended period of time.
