Cover Supervisor | The Role

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent
• Deliver pre-planned work and keep pupils on task
• Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies
• Support a broad range of pupils in a busy, real school environment
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
• Assist with general classroom support when cover is not required

Cover Supervisor | Candidate Requirements

• Degree preferred, but strong school experience also considered
• Previous tutoring, coaching, mentoring or youth work experience desirable
• Confident leading a classroom and setting clear expectations
• Calm, firm and professional approach to behaviour management
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Reliable, proactive and able to commit for the full academic year
