YOUR NEW ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and strategically-minded Vice President — Production Support Manager to lead our Production Services function supporting critical banking and trading applications across Markets, C&IB business.
This is a senior leadership position accountable for the stability, resilience, and continuous improvement of mission-critical financial systems that underpin our trading, risk management, and regulatory reporting capabilities. You will own the end-to-end production lifecycle for a portfolio of applications spanning Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office domains.
As a VP-level leader, you will be expected to drive operational excellence, champion automation and modernization initiatives, and serve as a trusted partner to senior business and technology stakeholders globally. You will shape the strategic direction of production support, influence technology investment decisions, and build a high-performing, engaged team that delivers exceptional service outcomes.
This role requires a rare combination of deep technical expertise, production support leadership, banking domain knowledge, and executive presence. You will represent Production Services in senior forums, lead through major incidents with composure, and drive measurable improvements in system reliability and operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Operational Leadership & Service Excellence
Assume full accountability for the production health, stability, and performance of assigned application portfolio supporting global trading and banking operations
Lead Major Incident Management for critical P1/P2 incidents, coordinating cross-functional response teams and providing executive-level communications during service disruptions
Own Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, ensuring rigorous governance, timely resolution, and sustainable fixes
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) discipline, ensuring systemic issues are identified, documented, and permanently remediated
Establish and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) capabilities, including regular DR testing and runbook maintenance
Deliver against SLA commitments and operational KPIs, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Strategic & Transformation Initiatives
Define and execute the Production Support roadmap, aligning with broader technology strategy and business priorities
Champion automation, self-healing, and observability initiatives to reduce manual toil, improve MTTR, and enhance system resilience
Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams on Cloud Migration programs, ensuring production readiness and supportability of cloud-native workloads
Contribute to firmwide AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies
Drive technical debt reduction and advocate for production-first design principles in new development
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10-15 production support engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and operational excellence
Own performance management, goal-setting, and career development conversations for direct reports
Drive hiring and workforce planning, building a diverse, skilled team capable of supporting evolving technology landscape
Promote psychological safety, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the team
Establish clear on-call rotations, escalation paths, and follow-the-sun support models for 24x7 coverage
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on production matters, building trusted relationships with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams
Deliver executive-level reporting on service health, incident trends, and improvement initiatives to senior technology and business leadership
Represent Production Services in CAB (Change Advisory Board), Architecture Review, and Technology Governance forums
Partner with Release Management, Environment Management, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployments and environment stability
Risk, Controls & Governance
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow governance standards and operational processes
Maintain audit-ready documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Champion a strong risk and controls mindset, proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks
Support regulatory examinations and internal audits related to technology operations
