Air Handlers OBX is an established, full-service heating and air conditioning company servicing the entire Outer Banks. AHOBX is seeking a full-time, year-round HVAC Installer to join its team.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Valid Driver's license for a minimum of 3 years, clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail
• Basic computer skills, strong organizational skills
• Able to pass background with clear and favorable results
• Able to follow OSHA requirements, safety precautions per company procedures and policies.

This position is Monday-Friday with an after-hour on-call rotation. All service/installation experience will be considered.  

Requirements

Physical/Mental Demands: Required to sit, stand, bend, walk use hands and fingers to control objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and see/access. Must have ability to lift 50 pounds individually, unassisted, and up to 100 pounds with assistance (dollies, hand trucks, additional persons) on a regular and daily basis; reading, comprehension, legible writing skills and effective written and verbal communication in the English language. Constant need to complete forms, read reports, and visually determine the correct working order of physical aspect of units and other property facilities.  

Machines/Equipment: A valid NC driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR); the operation of basic tools and equipment; smart phone, tablet, or similar electronic device.

Work Environment: Exposed to outside weather conditions to include extreme heat, extreme cold and high winds, hazardous chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust - fast paced schedule, physically strenuous; working in attics or crawl spaces; climbing flights of steps inside and out; maneuvering a vehicle in congested traffic.

Hours: Hours will vary as job requires; ability to work hours (days/rotating schedule). Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and on-call schedule as needed. Arriving on time and working assigned schedule is required. Over-time is infrequent and unlikely but may be required in emergency situations, staffing shortages and/or under high work volume.

Salary Range: Pay based on experience and proven ability, determined by General Manager.
