Hiring Unit:
Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology
- Assist laboratory personnel with routine laboratory activities, including mammalian and bacterial cell culture maintenance.
- Prepare reagents, media, and other laboratory materials according to established instructions and protocols.
- Assist with sample preparation, data entry, and the recording of experimental information.
- Maintain laboratory records, inventories, and equipment logs.
- Assist with the receipt, stocking, storage, and distribution of laboratory supplies, reagents, and shipments.
- Maintain laboratory workspaces, equipment, and common areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining laboratory documentation, protocols, and datasheets.
- Support laboratory opening and closing procedures and follow established laboratory safety guidelines.
- Perform other related duties in support of laboratory operations as required.
- Experience working in a laboratory or research environment.
- Familiarity with mammalian and/or bacterial cell culture techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices.
- Experience maintaining laboratory inventories and records.
- Experience with data entry and database management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and time-management skills.
- Bilingual English/French
