Job Description

Principle Duties:

  •  Provide sanitation services to all operational areas of the WBC campus, as well as cleaning and sanitizing transportation equipment
  • Operate various types of industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, power washers, automated trailer cleaners, etc…
  • Follow sanitation standard operating procedures and document results as directed by supervision. Safely and responsibly handle chemicals.
  • Practice Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) where applicable.
  • Participate in post-sanitation, pre-operation inspections and execute corrective actions as necessary
  • Perform additional sanitation tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred
  • Ability to work independently adhering to Wawa safety and productivity standards
  • Ability to work in various conditions and climates to include, but not limited to, cold, wet, hot, humid and noisy
  • Ability to work around industrial strength chemicals to include heavy duty chlorinated alkaline cleaners,  heavy duty acid cleaners and quaternary ammonium sanitizers
  • Must be able climb ladders of varying heights and perform assigned tasks off the ground
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: lifting (60 lbs.), standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally, reaching above the shoulder, reaching below waist, grasping firmly, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pulling and pushing
  • Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks
