Senior Backend Developer

MAJORITY is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Backend team. This is a full time, hybrid position based at our office in Stockholm, Sweden. Developers may work from home up to 2 days a week.

• To secure high quality code we practice code review and pair programming, we use CI/CD and automated testing

Basic Requirements

• Experience building and running microservices and event-based systems in production, at scale
• A track record of shipping real systems and supporting them in production
• Solid understanding of distributed systems reliability: idempotency, retries, ordering and eventual consistency
• Good understanding of higher level architecture and design
• Excellent communication skills in English

Ideal candidate

• Experience with C#, Kubernetes and SQL, or similar
• Experience with payment platforms, FinTech, Banking or security
• Experience working with a growing team on evolving products with many users
• Experience building new products with an eye on maintainability and scalability
• Vision for product development and for how a code base evolves
• Uses AI tools like Claude or Codex in daily work
• Happy hacking on new technology, loves R&D
• A degree in computer science
• A pleasure to work with
