Job Description:

This position will report to the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer. A successful candidate will work independently while taking direction from the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer.  This role is 100% onsite.

• Must be able to work with both a technical and non-technical user community
• Use the Microchip tracking systems to log requests, issues, and projects
• Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control

Requirements/Qualifications:

Candidate must be enrolled in a Associate’s degree plan for Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field and actively attending college courses relating to their degree plan.  Be willing to work at least 20 hours per week but will be permitted to work up to 40 hours while maintaining degree program requirements. Position is fully onsite.

Skills required:
Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Basic understanding of relational databases and data structures, Basic understanding of SQL or ability to learn SQL, Ability to analyze and interpret data, Ability to learn and work with enterprise software applications.

Other skills preferred: 
Experience writing SQL queries, Understanding of relational database structures, Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Tableau, Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, Experience with a programming language such as Python, C#, Java, or similar, Experience with Visual Studio or other development environments, Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions
