Overview

Experienced Automotive Technician | $40–$50 per Flag Hour

Group 1 Hyundai Hub City in Lubbock, part of Group 1 Automotive, is hiring experienced Automotive Technicians. If you enjoy solving tough diagnostic problems and take pride in getting repairs right, we’d like to hear from you.

• Pay is $40–$50 per flag hour.

• Schedule is a five-day workweek. Service hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Experience with a wide range of automotive diagnostics is important. Import warranty repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

• Experience as an Automotive Technician required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
