Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett is seeking a Full-Time Unit Secretary/Administrative Assistant for our beautiful skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. The successful candidate must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must have strong communication skills and must be very friendly and helpful at all times. Must possess basic computer and telephone switchboard skills and be proficient in Excel.
- Assist with scheduling and ensuring sufficient nursing staff available for each shift
- Assist with Central Supplies and process invoices accordingly
- Answer phones and assist families and guests at nurse’s station
- Administrative tasks as assigned
- Reports to the Nursing Center’s Administrator
As an Administrative Assistant in our Skilled Nursing you are responsible for dispersing the nursing supplies such as gloves, lifts, scales, beds, mattresses and other medical supplies. Able to take inventory of supplies when needed. Must be able to adhere to Resident’s Rights and privacy procedures.
