Job Description

We’re seeking an SVP, Head of Corporate Digital Analytics & Insights to lead analytics and insights for our corporate and commercial banking digital organization. Reporting to the CDO, this leader will define the analytics and insights strategy, establish a clear roadmap, and help translate digital data into meaningful business outcomes across the organization.

This is an opportunity to shape and mature an analytics function with strong existing capabilities in data, analytics, research, and execution. The successful candidate will bring the strategic leadership needed to connect those capabilities, identify opportunities across the digital ecosystem, and create a more structured, forward-looking approach to measurement and insights.

You’ll work closely with business-line, product, technology, UX, and data partners to strengthen digital performance, improve client experiences, and ensure analytics informs product strategy and investment decisions. You’ll also lead a small team of data science professionals and external resources while remaining close enough to the work to provide analytical and technical leadership when needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Analytics & Insights Strategy

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital analytics and insights across corporate and commercial banking.
  • Establish priorities and a structured approach for identifying and addressing analytics opportunities across the digital ecosystem.
  • Connect digital analytics and client insights to measurable business outcomes, including client growth, adoption, engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Partner with senior business, product, and technology leaders to ensure analytics informs strategic priorities, investments, and product roadmaps.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and measurement frameworks that provide a clear view of digital performance and client behavior.

Digital Performance & Client Insights

  • Leverage behavioral, digital, and client data to identify opportunities to improve digital journeys and overall client experience.
  • Analyze acquisition, engagement, adoption, and conversion funnels to identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement.
  • Partner with Product and UX teams to improve navigation, content, calls-to-action, and end-to-end digital experiences.
  • Evaluate campaign and digital-channel performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities across WCIB’s digital ecosystem and turn insights into clear business actions.

Analytics Modernization & AI

  • Advance the analytics function through modern data, measurement, experimentation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analytics and reporting, reduce manual effort, and accelerate insight generation and decision-making.
  • Partner with data and engineering teams to strengthen data models, instrumentation, pipelines, and the broader analytics ecosystem.
  • Help shape the target-state data environment required to support scalable analytics and insights.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a team of data science and analytics professionals, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and development opportunities.
  • Provide strategic direction while remaining sufficiently hands-on to challenge assumptions, guide analytical approaches, and ensure the quality and relevance of insights.
  • Build a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Determine how the team’s capabilities should evolve as the analytics function matures and business needs expand.

Executive Partnership & Influence

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders across WCIB, Product, Technology, UX, and other key functions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that enable business leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Influence priorities and action through data-driven recommendations and strong executive communication.
  • Create stronger connections between analytics, digital strategy, client needs, and business performance.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In this role, you will:

  • Establish a clear, enterprise-minded strategy and roadmap for digital analytics and insights.
  • Strengthen the connection between digital measurement and business outcomes.
  • Improve visibility into client acquisition, engagement, adoption, conversion, and retention.
  • Increase the speed and quality of decision-making through better analytics, measurement, and insight generation.
  • Build scalable analytics capabilities that reduce manual effort and make insights more accessible and actionable.
  • Develop a high-performing team and strengthen analytics partnerships across business, product, technology, and data organizations.
  • Champion a culture in which data and insights consistently lead to action and measurable value.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in analytics, digital analytics, data science, insights, or a related field, including at least 5 years of people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and leading an analytics or insights strategy within a complex, data-driven organization.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing analytics, data science, or data product teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital measurement, client behavior, funnel analytics, experimentation, and performance optimization.
  • Technical fluency with tools and capabilities such as SQL, Python, data visualization, digital analytics platforms, and modern data environments.
  • Experience working with platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Amplitude, and Databricks is beneficial.
  • Experience using AI and automation to improve analytics workflows, insight generation, or decision-making.
  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business implications and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic judgment combined with an ability to move from strategy to execution.
  • Demonstrated success working across Product, Technology, UX, Data, and business teams in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, B2B digital products, or another sophisticated data-driven organization is preferred.
