Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused facility.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
