Callahan Dental, led by Dr. Cheryl Callahan, is looking for a friendly, motivated, and patient-focused Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our supportive and collaborative team in Rockville, Maryland.

• Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Off

As a Dental Hygienist at Callahan Dental, you will play an important role in helping our patients maintain excellent oral health.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive dental hygiene care.
• Performing periodontal charting and assessments.
• Taking digital dental X-rays.
• Performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing (SRP).
• Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Providing fluoride treatments.
• Identifying and communicating periodontal and oral health concerns.
• Developing individualized hygiene care recommendations based on patient needs.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with patients.
• Collaborating with the doctor and dental team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records.

Qualifications include:

• Active Maryland Dental Hygiene License or currently awaiting Maryland licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience providing comprehensive dental hygiene care.
• Knowledge of periodontal charting, digital X-rays, prophylaxis, SRP, patient education, and fluoride treatments.
• Comfortable working with dental technology and electronic dental records.
• Positive attitude and a genuine desire to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to patient education, preventive dentistry, and quality clinical care.
