JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITIONS INCLUDE: Applicants will be considered for any open entry level non-skilled general labor positions

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday with possible Saturday's

Hours (depending on department): B Shift ranges from 230pm - until finished

 

Starting Pay - $21.10/HR (plus $1.00 shift differential for B Shift)

 

This position performs entry-level production and general labor duties in a food manufacturing environment while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all Tyson policies, procedures, food safety requirements, and quality standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform general production tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Handle, inspect, sort, package, and process products according to established specifications and quality standards.
• Use knives and other production tools safely as required while wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow all food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain product flow.
• Comply with attendance requirements and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

 

Work Environment:

• Production-line manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to cold temperatures ranging from approximately 36°F to 42°F.
• Exposure to food-processing equipment, moving conveyors, and repetitive production activities.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Exposure to wet, noisy, and fast-paced production conditions.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 36°F to 42°F.
• Must be able and willing to stand and/or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
• Must be able and willing to work on concrete, grating, or ergonomic platform surfaces for extended periods.
• Must be able and willing to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able and willing to frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, and grasp while performing job duties.
• Must be able and willing to use both hands simultaneously to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able and willing to perform repetitive hand, wrist, arm, shoulder, and upper-body movements throughout the shift.
• Must be able and willing to use fine motor skills and pinch-grip motions to handle products and packaging materials.
• Must be able and willing to work with knives and other production tools while wearing required PPE.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Must be able and willing to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment throughout the work shift.
