The Impact You’ll Make in this Role. 

 

As a DME Claim Submission Specialist Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: 

 

• Providing strong leadership and guidance to the Claim Submission Lead and the team of Claim Specialists by setting clear expectations, goals and priorities. 

• The supervisor will ensure that the team has the necessary knowledge, resources and support to effectively manage the team and navigate challenges in claim submission processes.  

• Overseeing the performance management process, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas of improvement and professional development.  

• Establishing strategic direction and initiatives for optimization of the claim submission process, reduce errors, enhancing efficiency. 

• Promoting open communication, addressing concerns promptly and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. 

• Allocating resources on the team day to day operations to perform daily duties and effectively achieve SLAs and targets.  

• Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, department leaders and supervisors to represent the department in meetings and discussions to achieve mutual goals.  

 

 

Your Skills and Expertise   

 
Medical billing requires attention to detail and experience with the electronic and paper systems used in billing healthcare services.  

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: 

 

• High School Diploma.
• Advanced English C1.
• Bachelor’s degree or in-process studies of administration verified prior to start. 

• Two years of successful experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in healthcare. 
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, Mastery of Office Functions and features. 

• Proficiency in Billing Software systems and other relevant healthcare applications.  

• Knowledge in Data Analysis tools, Excel, Power BI and Tableau for advanced data analysis.   

• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing internal systems and software platforms specific to the organization (Delair, HERO, SSI, PASS, FileNet P8, PASS, Payer Tool, PORT, Payer Portals).  

• Strong problem-solving skills and methods, to address complex issues and challenges related to claim submissions.  

• Understanding of Lean Principles, to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.  

• Ability to effectively manage change by implementing Change Management techniques.  

 

 

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:  

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems, as the role may involve accessing and updating patient information within electronic medical records. 

• Attention to detail and accuracy, candidates must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while processing billing information and documentation.  

• Time management and organizational skills, to prioritize tasks, manage work efficiently, and meet deadlines is essential.  

• Compliance knowledge, candidates should have an understanding of HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards governing patient privacy and healthcare billing practices.   

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

 

• Experience working in a post-acute care setting including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Wound Care Centers or with providers in this sector is a plus. 

• Experience with CPT and HCPCS coding systems, as well as ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
