Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Emergency Aid Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, visitor activity, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
