Job Profile Summary
The Sales Specialist Acute Care Informatics, Malaysia is responsible for driving growth of Philips' clinical informatics portfolio across Malaysia's public and private healthcare sectors. Working under limited supervision, the role develops and executes sales plans, creates new opportunities and expands successful solutions across strategic accounts and hospital groups. The specialist works closely with Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring sales and account teams, distribution partners and partner managers to create integrated customer value propositions and deliver a consistent customer experience. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong lateral leadership, sales operations discipline and end-to-end execution across commercial, clinical, technical, service and operational stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical country sales plans to achieve sales, growth and market-share objectives, while providing accurate business forecasts and performance reporting.
• Identify, qualify and develop new business, upgrade and expansion opportunities, and build trusted relationships with clinical, technical, procurement and executive stakeholders.
• Work closely with Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring sales and account teams to identify joint opportunities and create integrated customer value propositions across patient monitoring and clinical informatics.
• Collaborate with distribution partners and the Philips partner managers who support them on account planning, pipeline development, partner capability, customer coverage and opportunity follow-up.
• Lead or coordinate customer discovery, presentations, demonstrations, proposals, tender responses, commercial negotiations and closing activities for complex healthcare technology opportunities.
• Translate clinical and technical capabilities into clear customer outcomes, advise customers on relevant innovations and upgrades, and support effective competitive positioning.
• Lead cross-functional opportunity teams through influence rather than formal authority, aligning commercial, clinical, technical, service, regulatory, finance, marketing and operational stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the customer relationship management system, use sales data and market intelligence to guide priorities, and drive continuous improvement in sales execution.
• Ensure a clear transition from sale to implementation and comply with all Philips quality, regulatory, privacy and ethical standards, protecting long-term customer trust.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Clinical Sciences or an equivalent field.
Work Experience
Minimum five years of relevant experience in business development, clinical sales, healthcare technology, medical devices, enterprise software, service or an equivalent area.
Language and Mobility
Professional working proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is strongly preferred. The role requires regular domestic customer and partner travel and periodic regional travel.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Demonstrated success in consultative sales of complex healthcare, medical technology, clinical informatics or enterprise software solutions.
• Experience working through both direct and indirect routes to market, including distributors, partner managers and multi-party customer teams.
• Ability to understand clinical and technical concepts and communicate them clearly to clinical, operational, information technology and executive audiences.
• Strong experience in account planning, opportunity qualification, tendering, negotiation, forecasting and customer relationship management.
• Proven stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to lead laterally, resolve ambiguity and deliver through teams that do not report directly to the role.
• Knowledge of the Malaysian healthcare market, including public and private hospital procurement, tendering and the local distribution and partner ecosystem.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
