The Sr. Analyst, Profitability is responsible for supporting the analysis, reporting, and improvement of restaurant and franchisee profitability across the LAC region. This role provides visibility into restaurant financial performance, identifies profitability trends and opportunities, and develops insights that support business decisions and franchisee financial health.

The Sr. Analyst partners closely with franchisees, field teams, and cross-functional partners, including Operations, Development, Finance, Marketing, and other functions, to analyze financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that drive sustainable restaurant-level profitability. The role requires strong financial and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable business insights.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze restaurant and franchisee financial performance across the LAC region, including key P&L metrics, profitability trends, and other financial and operational indicators.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual franchisee financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial information and identifying potential data quality issues or outliers.

  • Analyze restaurant-level P&Ls and benchmark performance across franchisees, markets, restaurant types, and other relevant segments to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve profitability.

  • Develop financial analyses and business insights to support franchisees, field teams, and leadership in understanding key drivers of restaurant profitability and prioritizing opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with franchisees and internal stakeholders to investigate financial performance outliers, understand underlying business drivers, and support the development of appropriate action plans.

  • Prepare and present recurring profitability reporting and business reviews for regional leadership, field teams, and other key stakeholders, highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, dashboards, and analytical tools used to evaluate restaurant economics, profitability initiatives, and overall franchisee financial performance.

  • Support assessments of franchisee financial health and capitalization by analyzing relevant financial indicators and identifying potential areas of risk or opportunity.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial and business analyses to evaluate strategic initiatives, changes in restaurant economics, cost pressures, sales performance, and other factors impacting restaurant profitability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Development, Marketing, and other teams to evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and provide a profitability perspective to support decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate profitability reporting, analytical tools, and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and visibility across the region.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or another quantitative or related field.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business analytics, profitability, corporate finance, consulting, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable business insights.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L analysis, including the ability to identify key drivers of revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience developing financial models and scalable analytical tools.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, with the ability to develop clear and compelling materials for business and leadership audiences.

  • Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, or financial reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, OneStream, Hyperion, or similar platforms is an asset.

  • Familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools is an asset.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts and analytical findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional and geographically diverse environment.

  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.
