Responsibilities

If you're someone who believes that compassionate, evidence-based mental health care can help individuals and families overcome challenges and reach their full potential, this role was built for you.

As a Therapist at Health Connect America, you'll provide high-quality therapeutic services that support emotional wellness, strengthen coping skills, and promote lasting positive outcomes. Through assessment, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration, you'll play an important role in helping clients achieve meaningful progress in their lives.

What You'll Do

As a Therapist, you'll provide individualized behavioral health services while partnering with families, treatment teams, and community resources to support client success. Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and utilize evidence-based assessment tools to identify client strengths, needs, and treatment recommendations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and other mental health conditions
  • Monitor client progress, maintain ongoing communication and follow-up, and adjust treatment interventions to support positive outcomes
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to additional resources and support services as needed
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, accreditation standards, and state regulations

What to Expect

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing therapeutic services that help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve improved mental health and well-being. You'll work closely with clients, caregivers, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Success in this position requires strong clinical skills, empathy, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering person-centered care. You'll participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities designed to strengthen your clinical expertise and support career growth.

For clinicians providing services in North Carolina, responsibilities may also include integrated care functions such as care coordination, health promotion, transitional care, and community resource linkage.
