Geomodeler (DSG & SEM)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Geomodeler with advanced expertise in DecisionSpace Geosciences (DSG) and the Scalable Earth Modeling (SEM) module. This role focuses on building, updating, and maintaining advanced geological and earth models to support reservoir characterization, volumetric calculations, and field development planning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate seismic interpretation, well data, and petrophysical inputs into robust static models.

- Duration : full time up to one year.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain 3D static geological and earth models using DSG and SEM (Scalable Earth Modeling).
- Integrate seismic interpretation, well tops, logs, and petrophysical data into structural, stratigraphic, and property models.
- Build fault frameworks, structural models, and velocity/depth models using advanced SEM tools.
- Perform stratigraphic and structural modeling, facies and property modeling, and model upscaling.
- Apply advanced modeling algorithms, such as variograms, to enhance model precision.
- Ensure alignment of models with Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS) and resolve spatial discrepancies in geological data.
- Deliver model outputs to reservoir engineering teams for simulation, volumetric assessments, and field development analysis.
- Document modeling processes thoroughly, conduct quality control (QC), and clearly communicate assumptions and results to both technical and management audiences.
- Stay current with technological advancements in geomodeling and recommend process enhancements as applicable.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Geoscience, or a related technical field.
- 10-13 years of professional experience in geological/earth modeling.
- Advanced, hands-on expertise with DecisionSpace Geosciences (DSG) and specifically the SEM (Scalable Earth Modeling) module.
- Deep knowledge of fault frameworks, structural modeling, and velocity/depth modeling in DSG.
- Expertise in stratigraphic and property modeling, facies modeling, and advanced model upscaling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of modeling algorithms and variograms.
- Experience working with seismic interpretation data, well logs, tops, and petrophysical data in 3D static models.
- Proficiency in resolving issues related to Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS) and spatial inconsistencies.
- Familiarity with delivering outputs for reservoir simulations and volumetric assessments.

Day-to-Day
On a daily basis, you will:
- Build and troubleshoot 3D static geological models, incorporating diverse geoscience data to achieve accurate and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, petrophysicists, and engineers to ensure the integration of key datasets into the modeling workflows.
- Conduct stratigraphic and structural modeling while ensuring high-quality outputs that align with reservoir simulation standards.
- Anticipate and resolve modeling challenges, leveraging advanced knowledge of DSG and SEM tools.
- Prepare technical documentation, summaries, and presentations for key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Stay attuned to the latest advancements in geomodeling technologies and workflows to continuously improve processes.
