Position Overview
The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) for a part-time/per diem outpatient opportunity in New Haven, Connecticut.
This position is primarily outpatient-focused, with minimal inpatient responsibilities, and offers an excellent opportunity for an endocrinologist seeking a flexible clinical schedule within a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.
Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and early-career physicians are encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and pituitary conditions
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care with an emphasis on long-term disease management and prevention
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialty providers to coordinate patient care
- Interpret diagnostic studies, including hormone assays, imaging, and metabolic testing
- Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, medication management, medication adherence, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Residency training in Internal Medicine required
- Fellowship training in Endocrinology required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and new graduates are encouraged to apply
