Job Description

As a Security Officer Reception Checkpoint in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, support tenant and guest needs, and monitor security-related activity from a highly visible reception area. You will use communication and customer service skills to help create a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and assist visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with building management and emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, provide directions and building information, receive deliveries, and maintain a professional, welcoming lobby environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
