The Job:  

Our Latin America Group (LAG) is looking for a motivated, analytical, and business-oriented Category Product Expert to support the execution of the product and category strategy for Power Tools and Accessories in the Latin America region. This position will help drive profitable growth and improve performance across online and offline channels by collaborating with regional management, country marketing, sales, brand, digital, and eCommerce teams.   

You’ll get to:  

  • Work alongside the regional Category Manager on the execution of categories, and product portfolio strategies in conjunction with Local marketing, Brand, Digital, Sales, and eCommerce teams.
  • Coordinate New Product Innovation (NPIs) Launch Plans and cross-functional implementation, including transitions, forecasting, support materials, launch execution and performance analysis.
  • Conduct market intelligence efforts, understanding distribution channels, competitive benchmarking, consumers and shoppers’ behavior and unmet customer needs, generating actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the assigned product categories, including product features, applications, customer use cases, and competitive differentiation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, brand, and digital teams to support product positioning and clear value proposition messaging that resonates with the target persona.
  • Development and maintenance of sales enablement tools including customer presentations, training materials, product launch materials, competitive comparisons, and selling guidance
  • Work with local market teams to support sales channels, including training and creating excitement around consumer-driven solutions and the value proposition for consumers and end-users.
  • Support category, innovation, and key initiatives performance monitoring and reporting providing insights and recommendations to improve or accelerate execution and results

The Person:

  • 3+ years of product marketing, category management, trade marketing, or related commercial experience, preferably in multinational corporations with operations in Latin America.
  • Experience in a market-facing or cross-functional role, such as supporting customer presentations, conducting competitor analysis, analyzing market trends, or supporting product/category planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred
  • Solid knowledge of category management, portfolio analysis and market research.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including pricing analysis, margin understanding, ROI tracking, and ability to identify what is or is not working.
  • Ability to present complex material concisely to a wide range of audiences, from internal teams to customers and leadership.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, country teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Experience in power tools, tools, hardware, home improvement, consumer durables, or CPG is a plus.
  • Team player, self-starter, detail-oriented, and strong executor of consumer-driven and commercially focused initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and collaboration tools such as Slack or similar platforms.
