About the Role

The Climate Specialist will support climate risk and resilience activities under CITIIS 2.0 Component 2, focusing on climate vulnerability assessments, disaster risk management, stakeholder coordination, and technical review of climate planning outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support climate risk, vulnerability, and resilience assessments.

  • Review climate and disaster risk-related studies and project deliverables.

  • Support preparation and review of ISCAPs, CCAPs, and CSCAF outputs.

  • Coordinate with government agencies and project stakeholders.

  • Support monitoring, data management, and project reporting.

  • Assist with climate resilience and disaster preparedness training programs.

  • Support IEC activities and knowledge management initiatives.

  • Maintain technical documentation, datasets, and project records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Environment, Disaster Management, Geology, Environmental Science, Seismology, Climate Studies, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in climate risk assessment, disaster management, environmental management, urban resilience, or vulnerability assessment projects.

  • Experience coordinating with Government agencies.

  • Knowledge of national and state disaster management frameworks is preferred.
