Job Description:

The opportunity

Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and understanding how things work?

We are looking for an R&D Measurement Specialist to join our R&D organization in Ludvika. In this role, you will combine hands-on laboratory work with analysis, investigation, and development of measurement solutions.

You will work close to testing activities and product development, helping transform ideas, experiments, and measurements into valuable technical insights. Your work will support both ongoing development projects and future innovations.

The role offers a broad technical scope. One day you may be setting up a measurement system in the laboratory, and another day you may analyze data, investigate technical issues, or contribute to developing new test methods.

You will collaborate with engineers, laboratory specialists, project managers, and product experts across several technical disciplines. The environment is highly collaborative and gives you the opportunity to continuously learn, develop, and deepen your technical expertise.

We value curiosity, analytical thinking, and a willingness to explore new technologies. You do not need experience in every area from day one. What matters most is your ability to learn, solve problems, and contribute to technical progress.

How you'll make an impact

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate laboratory tests and technical investigations
  • Develop and improve measurement methods and test procedures
  • Build and adapt measurement setups for different testing applications
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret measurement data
  • Transform test results into technical conclusions and recommendations
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across R&D, testing, and engineering teams
  • Present technical findings to different stakeholders
  • Contribute to innovation, continuous improvements, and knowledge sharing

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • Interest in laboratory work, testing, and technical investigations
  • Ability and motivation to learn new technologies and tools
  • Experience documenting and communicating technical work
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional and international environments
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
