Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a civilian Paramedic to provide services for the FBI Quantico, located 36 miles outside Washington D.C.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Emergency Medical Response
- Perform advanced airway management.
- Provide cardiac assessment and interventions.
- Conduct trauma resuscitation and stabilization.
- Administer medications and apply advanced pharmacology knowledge.
- Make rapid clinical decisions under pressure.
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients prior to hospital transport.
- Conduct rapid triage and manage:
- Traumatic injuries
- Environmental emergencies
- High-acuity medical events
Support High-Risk Training and Operational Events
Provide on-site emergency medical coverage during:
- Firearms range activities
- Defensive tactics training
- Arrest and control technique exercises
- Physical fitness testing
- Large-scale events and graduation ceremonies
- Specialized training evolutions
Medical Training and Education
Deliver training to clinic staff and personnel in:
- CPR/AED
- First Aid
- Bleeding control
- Tourniquet application
- Heat injury prevention
- Hydration protocols
- Rapid medical and trauma assessment in field environments
- Patient carries and litter evacuation techniques
Equipment Readiness and Maintenance
Maintain mission-ready medical equipment, including:
- Trauma bags
- Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
- Oxygen delivery systems
- Airway management equipment
- Emergency response kits for callouts and special events
- Zoll Propaq cardiac monitoring systems
Required Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications
Candidates must possess:
- Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification
- Current Virginia State Paramedic License
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Paramedic
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Work Environment
This position requires responding to physically demanding and high-risk training accidents and emergency situations. Candidates must be capable of working effectively in stressful, fast-paced environments while providing exceptional patient care.
