Shift: Days | Flexible Schedule
Schedule Options: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 12-hour shifts
On-Call: Approximately 8–15 days per month (currently averaging about 13)
Weekend Call: One full weekend of on-call coverage per month
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist / Cardiovascular
Interventional Technologist for a temporary assignment in Pontiac, Michigan. The technologist will provide clinical and technical support during a variety of cardiovascular, vascular, and non-vascular interventional procedures.
The department serves both inpatient and one-day outpatient populations in a collaborative procedural environment.
Procedures
The Cath Lab and Interventional Laboratory provides support for:
- Cardiac catheterization.
- Angiography.
- Peripheral angioplasty.
- Peripheral stent placement.
- Venography.
- Cardiac pacemaker insertions.
- Vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.
Schedule:
Flexible daytime scheduling is available based on department volume.
5x8 Schedule
Possible coverage windows include:
- 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
4x10 Schedule
Possible coverage windows include:
- 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
- 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
12-Hour Shifts
12-hour shifts may be scheduled based on operational needs and department volume.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
- Prepare and operate Cath Lab and interventional imaging equipment.
- Maintain a safe and efficient procedural environment.
- Support patient care throughout invasive procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Follow established patient safety, infection control, and procedural protocols.
- Provide support for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated Cath Lab experience.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
- Current ACLS – American Heart Association.
- Current BLS – American Heart Association.
- Ability to participate in the required on-call rotation.
- Ability to work flexible daytime schedules based on department needs.
