Eurodrone Programme:
With its ground-breaking industrial and commercial setup and its unique certification and flexibility, the European Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) showcases how European industry can find innovative ways to support strategic autonomy needs and prepare for the Future Combat Air System. The European MALE RPAS is not just the first programme to fully implement digital design manufacturing and services (DDMS). It is also seen as a ‘light-house’ programme, not only within Airbus, but also for the entire aeronautics industry in Europe.

Mission and activities:
In the Airbus Defence and Space Military Aircraft Simulation Domain, we develop top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircraft, supporting the entire development lifecycle.
Under the term “Virtual Engineering” (VE), the VE team is establishing a new way of working within the European MALE RPAS (Eurodrone) programme. Our mission is to generate and deploy a central simulation framework, including all associated governance, processes, and tools, to support the development, integration, and verification of the European MALE RPAS.
A dedicated product of VE is the Eurodrone Training Simulator, which will be deployed to various locations across Europe for crew training.
As Training Simulator Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful production, delivery, and acceptance of the Eurodrone Training Simulators. A significant portion of their production will be subcontracted to external suppliers; you will supervise and coordinate their work from contract award through to final delivery and acceptance.
As a valued member of our international and multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on this critical programme for Airbus Defence and Space. Your work will involve collaborating with experts across various domains to ensure the success of the Eurodrone system.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Manage the ED Simulation Lab & Facilities
Manage physical upgrades of the ED SimLab
Manage Training Simulator facilities
Coordinate Training Simulator Production
Act as point of contact for Procurement
Define Statements of Work for external suppliers
Define Technical Specification for external suppliers
Support the external supplier selection process
Manage external suppliers:
Perform Design Reviews with external suppliers
Supervise production execution by external suppliers
Define and execute supplier qualification and acceptance process
Manage production finalization (transport, assembly, commissioning)
Support to Training Simulator acceptance
Contribute to Training Simulator Development & Qualification
You will support our international operations through occasional travel.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Professional Experience:
Proven experience in Project Management
Experience in the production of complex electronic devices
Experience in managing external suppliers
Desirable:
Experience in simulator development
Experience in pilot training
General understanding of aeronautics
Technical Skills:
General understanding of complex system architectures and design principles
Ability to conduct technical design reviews
Knowledge of production processes and quality assurance
Work Methods and Soft Skills:
Ability to work in large teams and be an excellent team player
Ability to work independently
Proactive approach
Language Skills:
English: Business fluent
German, Spanish, French or Italian are a plus
