Role Summary: Lead strategic roadmap for Configured System sourcing, with focus on capacity growth and ensuring supply chain sustainability with cost competitiveness to successfully execute Long Rang Forecast demand through 2030 and beyond.Job Description
As the Strategic Sourcing Team Leader you will:
- Lead a spend of over $500M on Configured System commodities with a team of 7-10 commodity leaders to develop/manage sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity to achieve variable cost productivity, cash flow, controllership goals and ensure adequate regional capacities exist to meet the GEV volume ramp with SQDC mindset.
- Partner with Pivot to Value and Engineering teams to drive Product Cost out idea generation and cut in on critical components.
- Lead/Support global supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including managing the entire contract life cycle.
- Minimize GE risk exposure, by working closely with Projects and Contracts (Commercial, Legal, Commodity Sourcing, Engineering) teams to ensure customer flow downs are passed through to suppliers.
- Drive strategy development with the tactical execution necessary to execute cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger
- Develop technical and market expertise in global commodity area
- Create and enforce business policies to meet business targets and customer needs, including improving procurement processes and optimizing Sourcing resources to enhance the customer experience with Sourcing
- Work closely with engineering, buyers and sourcing quality engineers to ensure fulfillment and quality requirements are achieved
- Aligning closely with cross functional leaders to identify and assess supplier capabilities, and measure and manage supplier performance
- Negotiate lowest possible cost while maintaining the highest quality of goods and services
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering
- Prior sourcing experience in negotiating, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers, sourcing strategy, and implementing contracts (T&Cs negotiations)
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s Degree in, Engineering, Business or Finance; Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- Prior GE Leadership program experience, such as OMLP, FMP, CAS.
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
- Strong project management and process improvement skills. Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $149,400.00 and $248,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
