Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee assembly, testing, planning, quality documentation, and manufacturing operations for valves and valve automation products. The role requires strong technical expertise in valve manufacturing, production planning, ERP systems, quality standards, and cross-functional coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage assembly, testing, cleaning, and manufacturing activities for various valve products.
Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to achieve delivery and productivity targets.
Prepare and maintain daily production reports and operational records.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Handle ERP transactions, reporting, and production-related data management.
Troubleshoot assembly and in-process manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
Drive operator productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review calibration records, inspection reports, supplier documentation, and material test certificates.
Prepare and maintain customer audit, product audit, and quality-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and 6S practices across the shop floor.
Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5 to 7 years of experience in Production and Planning within the Valves or Valve Automation industry.
Experience in manufacturing API and industrial valves.
Strong knowledge of casting, forging, fabrication, machining, coating, painting, and powder coating processes.
Hands-on experience with valve and actuator assembly, including Scotch Yoke actuators.
Experience working with ERP systems; Baan ERP experience is preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Experience in audit preparation and compliance activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, and BI reporting tools.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, standards, and technical documents.
Strong production planning and execution capabilities.
Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
Effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within a matrix organization.
Minimum 5 years of ERP system experience.
Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Self-driven and result-oriented professional.
Effective team player with good collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
