Meet the Team
This opening is for the Software Test Development Engineer I on the V&V team within Dexcom's Research & Development Validation and Verification (V&V) organization. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a software development and/or quality engineering background to help advance the frameworks and tools that support software quality and automation best practices across Dexcom. You will contribute to the development of solutions that enable efficient validation of Dexcom CGM products while helping drive innovation in test automation, infrastructure optimization, and quality engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team focused on establishing best-in-class test engineering practices that improve product quality, accelerate testing, and support life-changing technology for our customers.
Where You Come In
- You develop and maintain automated backend and UI test solutions for web-based applications.
- You design and implement APIs and service endpoints to support automated updates to web portals, notifications, reporting, and documentation generation.
- You create integrations between enterprise tools such as Jira, TestRail, Slack, GitHub, and Datadog to streamline workflows and automate data transfers.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement.
- You measure and track automation effectiveness, including ROI and quality metrics, to drive informed decision-making.
- You partner with Software Development, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Product Owners, and Regulatory teams to define project scope and deliver high-quality solutions.
- You contribute to the enhancement of validation frameworks and testing infrastructure that support Dexcom's software portfolio.
What Makes You Successful
- You have experience programming in object-oriented languages, preferably Python.
- You have experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for web applications.
- You demonstrate proficiency integrating tools such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, databases, web portals, and cloud-based services.
- You have experience supporting automated testing within CI/CD environments, including tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- You possess working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services related to compute, storage, authentication, and application deployment.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
- You communicate effectively and collaborate successfully across technical and non-technical teams.
- You are committed to software quality, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable solutions in a regulated environment.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience.
Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
