Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is searching for a hard-working Data Engineer to join our Data Strategy and Services Team. In this position, you will be responsible for building systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information. You will work to make data accessible to evaluate and optimize Fusion’s performance and growth. You will be responsible for the design, development testing, innovation, and maintaining Fusion’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and related database systems to include data integration, developing SQL queries, query tuning, data security monitoring, assistance with data platform construction, data performance monitoring, and more to ensure consistent and accurate data integrity and availability. You will work closely with the broader Data Strategy & Services team in its development and administration disciplines and provide technical support while following data best practices and practicing a high level of communication, organization, and leadership within the role.

Essential Functions

  • Design and develop data integration systems, services, and pipelines
  • Design and maintain automated systems that move data from source locations to target storage systems.
  • Extract raw data, transform it into usable formats by cleaning and filtering, and load it into data warehouses and lakes.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize broken or misconfigured SQL queries
  • Maintain readiness to address ETL pipeline breaks or other data latency issues
  • Develop SQL queries in the creation of business applications and SQL reports from corporate data sources.
  • Architect and build secure, scalable, and high availability databases and testing strategies to ensure integrity and security.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Construct data platform schedules using orchestration and automation techniques
  • Maintain and enhance data platform architecture processes
  • Construct refined (warehouse) datasets used for operational reporting, analytics, and ML/AI activities
  • Identify and recommend solutions to improve data reliability and readiness
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the data platform architecture
  • Apply rules and protocols to protect sensitive information and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Define data use processes, Determine, enforce and document database policies, best practices, service level agreements, procedures and standards
  • Recommends solutions by diagnosing and defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, and implementing database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain data for ML/AI activities
  • Conduct data research for new business intelligence
  • Recommend solutions to leverage ML/AI for business automation

Work Environment

Work environment defined:

Local - position has in-office requirements Monday through Friday and would require employee to live in the local area.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ Years experience designing, developing, and maintaining data integration pipelines
  • 4+ Years experience developing data warehousing components (data objects, procedures, automation/scheduling)
  • 4+ Years experience developing data integration for diverse sources
  • 4+ Years experience managing large datasets from multiple sources to create usable datasets
  • 4+ Years experience running complex analyses to define business intelligence
  • 4+ Years experience running experiments with data - simulation, neural sets, scenario analysis, etc.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data integration pipelines
  • Developing data warehousing components (data objects, procedures, automation/scheduling, et al)
  • Developing data integration for diverse sources
  • Managing large datasets from multiple sources to create usable datasets
  • Running complex analyses to define business intelligence
  • Running experiments with data - simulation, neural nets, scenario analysis, etc.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience creating cloud-based data platforms designed for analytical performance
  • Experience visualizing data for determining model variance, risk, performance, etc.
  • Experience using API endpoints for data integration
  • Experience utilizing LLM core concepts and approaches
  • Experience utilizing AI core concepts and approaches
  • Demonstrated experience with digital analytics and reporting tools
  • Master’s of Applied Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science or related field
  • Creating cloud-based data platforms designed for analytical performance
  • Visualizing data for determining model variance, risk, performance, etc.
  • Using API endpoints for data integration
  • Database Administration (DBA) including index maintenance, performance troubleshooting, and architectural change consulting.

Compensation

105,000-115,000 Base Annual Salary
10% Profit Sharing
