Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote. 

The Senior Manager, Customs Compliance & International Logistics is responsible for leading Ocean Spray's global transportation, customs compliance, and international trade operations. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across the global supply chain while maintaining adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, international trade requirements, and company policies.
The Senior Manager oversees transportation providers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and trade compliance programs while driving continuous improvement in logistics performance, cost optimization, service reliability, and supply chain resiliency. This position partners closely with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, Legal, and external service providers to support business objectives and protect Ocean Spray's reputation and compliance standing.

A Day in the Life...

• Develop and execute global transportation and trade compliance strategies that support Ocean Spray's service, inventory, customer, and financial objectives.
• Lead international transportation operations, mainly ocean, ensuring cost-effective and reliable product movement.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers, including sourcing, contract negotiations, performance management, and service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable import and export regulations, including U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA, and other Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Oversee tariff classification (HTS), customs valuation, country-of-origin determinations, duty payments, and customs documentation processes to ensure accurate and compliant customs filings.
• Identify and implement duty optimization opportunities through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), duty drawback, First Sale programs, and other trade initiatives.
• Lead supply chain security and risk management programs, including C-TPAT compliance, annual risk assessments, and mitigation plans for transportation and trade disruptions.
• Monitor transportation, customs, and trade performance through KPIs, scorecards, and business reviews, driving continuous improvement in service, cost, and compliance results.
• Develop transportation forecasts, capacity plans, and shipment visibility processes to support sourcing, production planning, distribution, and customer service requirements.
• Manage logistics and trade compliance budgets, freight spend, duty costs, forecasts, accruals, and financial reporting while identifying and delivering cost savings.
• Partner with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal to align logistics and compliance strategies with business priorities.
• Develop and lead a high-performing logistics and trade compliance team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and regulatory excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist certification required

•In depth knowledge of import regulations for US, Canada, and Europe

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

At least 7 Years of Experience

Annual Salary:

$128,000 - $160,000
