THE ROLE

This Co-op experience provides participants with meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:

At the conclusion of this position, co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how compliance learning works at an asset manager.

MFS co-op positions are a 6-month commitment, working Monday – Friday (beginning on Wednesday, January 13th through Friday June 25th, 2027), and work between 35-40 hours.  Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

Following established procedures, the co-op in this position will assist the Reporting Compliance group with ensuring the quality and integrity of reporting and data.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The job will be focused on supporting key functions across compliance tasks including reporting, automation, pre- and post-trade analysis, responding to ad hoc requests for information and research within the Compliance Reporting Group.

• Review and research differences between multiple compliance monitoring systems.

• Complete assignments such client reporting deliverables, work with various internal partners for optimizing process efficiencies and automation, documentation, including review of prior day changes made to compliance systems.

• Work on multiple trade and internal systems to refer, download and post documents.

• Additional duties to be performed as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Candidates studying or with exposure in finance, quantitative analysis, statistics, data science, or related fields are well-suited for this role.

• The ideal candidate should be adept at critical thinking, possess sharp problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Strong critical thinking abilities to approach complex compliance challenges.

• Strong knowledge of computer-based programs such as MS Office.

• Some exposure to coding languages, with an ability to automate workflows and generate insights.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
